Moving the gear again

The last gear move was a nice one for giving me more space, but the dark basement just didn't insprire me... so I proceded to jam all of my production gear into my bedroom! This is working much better and is helping me to work on audio and video together now. Also just played a set at my roommate's Sam Ash music store for a promotion.

Thanks to Cam for putting together another great party at Goodbar on October 8th. This party proved to be another success and had a wait out the door (sorry to those that didn't make it in). Dan, my brother and I all threw down once again and hope to do this again in the future. Check out pictures at smartclubber.com.

Back 2 Basics

Recently myself, my brother and friend Dan Guzman have been practicing some expirimental live sets. My brother plays on tables, Dan lays down amazing guitar riffs and I play over with synths, samplers, etc. We got to try this out at a party called Back 2 Basics at Goodbar on September 5th. Back in the lab with new toys!

Finally back in the studio and totally redid my workspace. My setup was growing into the recording desk at Ape Trax, so it has been moved to a seperate synth and DJ section. But more importantly we currently have a MiniMoog Voyager (Aniversery Edition) gracing the studio!!! This thing is sick! Hope we can keep it. Also along with the deal is a Clavia Nord Rack 3 which is also very amazing! New gear and new setup = inspiration.

Break Pads Music Video

I have finished a new music video for my track Break Pads. This video will have you laughing your ass off as people get hurt and goofy things happen. Many would say this is Jackass style humor, but its just the way we hang out!

MPC2000XL vs MPC2000XL

I have finally obtained a second MPC (the pimpin chrome SE3 model) which will turn my live PA into the ultimate live PA/DJ hybrid set. This allows me to queue up sequences randomly and mix them together at will (as a DJ does with turntables) which was not possible before hand.

2 new Synths!

It's been a while since I aquired some gear and recently picked up a Clavia Nord Micro Modular and a Dave Smith Instruments Evolver with my tax refund. These synths create some very unique and crazy sounds and will be a great addon to the studio/live pa. Check them with the new setup at Ape Trax Studios.

Changes and Upgrades

We are finally getting settled in our new house and things are looking good. The studio is finally back in operation so look for new tracks early next year. In the meantime, I am reworking this site and doing some videos. Props to Sarin Assult for sending me the latest LP off his new label, KTR Productions from the UK. Check this out for some serious hardcore tunes!

On Halloween, Lucky and I will be playing a party at Beloit College in Wisconsin as the next hit on the Holographic Renaissance tour. I will also be moving to a new location in Lisle this weekend. This includes a new space for the gear where I will be combining my equipment with several others for a diverse studio.
